Since I’ve been thinking so much about food thought I would share a few local dishes.
First, a bowl of mee siam, brown broth over very thin rice noodles topped with a sliced hard-cooked eggs and spring onions. Yummy! Cost: S$2.80, or US$1.88. Medium spice, just a little fishy/shrimpy. Stingray. Really meaty fish, more like chicken.
And, of course, the local drinks of choice – Tiger beer or coconut juice .
